The 3/50 Project is a grass roots movement that hopes to encourage consumers to shop local by suggesting each buying individual spend $50 per month at 3 local businesses they would miss if they went under. Their information offers very compelling evidence about how shopping locally puts way more money back into the local community than shopping chains or big box retailers.
